Who we are
Soularsol Ltd (registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF) is the data controller for soularsol.com.
What we collect
When you order, browse, or sign up to hear from us, we may collect your name, email, delivery and billing address, phone number, order history, and marketing preferences. We don't see or store your full card details, Shopify Payments handles that directly.
How we use it
To take and fulfil your order, handle returns and customer service, send order and shipping updates, and, only if you've opted in, marketing emails. We also use it to keep the site secure and prevent fraud.
Our legal basis
Processing your order is necessary to perform our contract with you. Marketing emails rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Fraud prevention and site security rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe store.
Who we share it with
We use trusted third parties to run the store, and share only what each needs to do its job: Shopify (hosting and payments), Klaviyo (email marketing), Judge.me (reviews), Gorgias (customer service), Royal Mail (delivery), and Google Analytics (site usage). Some of these process data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, are in place.
Cookies
We use cookies to run the site and, with your consent, to understand how it's used. See the cookie banner on the site for full detail and to manage your preferences.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes, generally 6 years. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or we haven't been in touch for a while, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see the data we hold on you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To do any of this, contact us using the details below. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the current version here with the date it was last updated.
